Primarily memorabilia associated with the Demonstration School of Mississippi Southern College collected by Burton as a student there from 1940-1952. Consists of three scrapbooks, 1944-1950; first grade workbook, 1940-1941; composition book, 1943; copies of the student newspaper, Elm leaves, 1943-44; and Lil' southerner, 1947-51; a "slam book," 1947-48; notes from class meetings, 1948-51; cultural and sports programs; and various other items.
